West Jessamine and Notre Dame Academy squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but West Jessamine had to settle for second. They came up short against the Pandas, falling 3-0. The Colts' defeat signaled the end of their eight-game winning streak.

Despite the loss, West Jessamine saw an underclassman step up: freshman Ava Smith had 13 digs and one assist. Smith is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 13 or more in each of the last nine games she's played.

Notre Dame Academy found their leader in sophomore Dara Jackson, who had 18 digs and three aces.

West Jessamine's defeat dropped their record down to 28-12. As for Notre Dame Academy, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 30-7.

West Jessamine does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Notre Dame Academy, they have already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Bowling Green on the 7th.
