Volleyball Recap: Marshall Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Marshall won the last time they faced Fort Atkinson and things went their way on Saturday too. The Cardinals walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Blackhawks. Winning may never get old, but the Cardinals sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

The win didn't come easy: Fort Atkinson scored at least 20 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-20.

Summer Hellenbrand paced Marshall's offense, picking up ten kills. Hellenbrand got some help from Ava Neuberger and her 22 assists. Neuberger also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Carly Checky, each putting up two.

Marshall's record is now 21-9. As for Fort Atkinson, their loss dropped their record down to 8-18.

Looking ahead, Marshall has the luxury of staying home for another game and will welcome Kewaskum at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Fort Atkinson, they will square off against Turner at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
