Volleyball Recap: Brookland Bearcats vs. Valley View Blazers
Brookland was the 2-0 winner over Valley View when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Bearcats came up short against the Blazers on Tuesday, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Bearcats have suffered against the Blazers since October 30, 2021.
The final score came out to 25-20, 25-10, 25-17.
Lynley Seyler paced Brookland's offense, picking up eight kills. Seyler got some help from Macie Murray and her 17 assists. Seyler was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.
This is the second loss in a row for Brookland and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
After both having extra time off, Brookland and Conway will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Valley View, they will head out on the road to challenge Batesville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The contest will give the Blazers their first taste of in-conference action this season.
