Preview: Palmview Lobos vs. Martin Tigers
Palmview is 1-8 against Martin since December of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Palmview Lobos will head out on the road to face off against the Martin Tigers at 7:00 p.m. Hopefully Palmview focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Tuesday.
Last Tuesday, Palmview came up short against Cigarroa and fell 50-42.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Adrian Ibarra, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds and three steals. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played. Juan Dominguez was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with seven rebounds.
Meanwhile, Martin waltzed into their game on Tuesday with five straight wins but they left with six. They took down Mission Veterans Memorial 45-31.
Palmview's loss dropped their record down to 24-12. As for Martin, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-15 record this season.
Palmview came up short against Martin in their previous matchup back in January, falling 61-53. Can Palmview avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
