Basketball Recap: West Craven Piles Up the Points Against Northeast Academy for Aerospace and Advanced Tech

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask West Craven). They blew past the Northeast Academy For Aerospace and Advanced Tech Griffins 66-14 on Saturday. Winning may never get old, but the Eagles sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

West Craven had a senior duo take command as Jimmie West Lll dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds and Ezyehr Freeman posted nine points and five steals. West Lll's afternoon made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Shelby Cherry Jr, who put up six points and three steals.

West Craven smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 21 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in six consecutive matches.

The victory got West Craven back to even at 3-3. As for Northeast Academy For Aerospace and Advanced Tech, they are on a 27-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-10.
