Baseball Recap: First Academy Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Geneva, First Academy was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They never let Altamonte Christian get on the board and left with a 21-0 win. First Academy might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by ten runs or more this season.

Caiden Wilcox was incredible, going 3-for-5 with four runs, four RBI, and one stolen base. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Cason Cherry, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one stolen base.

First Academy's victory bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Altamonte Christian, their loss was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-5.

Coming up, First Academy will head out to face off against Real Life Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Real Life Christian Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.2 runs per game this season. As for Altamonte Christian, they will face off against Zephyrhills Christian Academy at 3:45 p.m. on March 24th.
