Football Game Preview: Winthrop vs. Lynn English

If the MaxPreps state rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for Lynn English. On Friday they will take on Winthrop at 7:00 PM. Lynn English don't have the home-field advantage, but they do enjoy an advantage in the MaxPreps rankings.

Lynn English might be getting used to good results now that the squad has three wins in a row. They put the hurt on Salem with a sharp 41-14 victory. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 34-0.

Last Saturday, Winthrop were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap, as they fell 14-20 to Saugus. This makes it the second loss in a row for Winthrop.

Everything came up roses for Lynn English against Winthrop the last time the two teams met as the team secured a 49-0 win. Will Lynn English repeat their success, or does Winthrop have a better game plan this time around ? We'll find out soon enough.
