Baseball Recap: McKean Comes Up Short

McKean lost to Delmarva Christian back in May of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Highlanders came up short against the Royals, falling 11-3.

McKean saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jey Oquendo, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run. Oquendo is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last eight games he's played.

McKean dropped their record down to 4-14 with the defeat, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Delmarva Christian, their win bumped their record up to 7-10.

Looking ahead, McKean will welcome St. Elizabeth at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Delmarva Christian, they will take on Laurel at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday.
