Softball Recap: Ramsey Takes a Loss

Ramsey was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 17-1 to the Central A & M Raiders. If the Rams were looking for revenge after losing 9-1 to the Raiders when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Ramsey's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Central A & M, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-7.

Ramsey and Central A & M could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. The Rams (ranked 431st) will meet Altamont (ranked 136th) at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Central A & M will challenge Casey-Westfield at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday with a big rank disadvantage (247 vs. 21).
