Soccer Game Preview: Hanahan vs. Pinewood Prep

The Hanahan Hawks will take on the Pinewood Prep Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Hanahan is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. They never let Orangeburg-Wilkinson get on the board and left with a 10-0 win on Tuesday. Hanahan haven't had any issues with Orangeburg-Wilkinson recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, Pinewood Prep entered their tilt with John Paul II on Friday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Golden Warrriors. Pinewood Prep's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last three contests.

Dylen Gauthier was the driving force of Pinewood Prep's attack as he scored both of Pinewood Prep's goals, bringing his season total up to six goals.

Hanahan's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-3-1. The road wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those three games. As for Pinewood Prep, their victory bumped their record up to 7-2-1.
