Scottsboro blew Brewer out of the water the last time the pair played, but  on Friday Brewer got their revenge. The Wildcats fell just short of the Patriots by a score of  34-31. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
 Brewer got their  win on the backs of several key players, but it was  Cole Drinkard out in front who rushed for 77 yards and one  touchdown, and also threw for 223 yards and one  TD while picking up 11.2 yards per attempt. A healthy portion of that aerial production (97 yards to be exact)  went to  Hunter Knighten.
Scottsboro's  loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 4-3. As for Brewer, their  victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-4.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Scottsboro will take on Guntersville at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Guntersville's defense has only allowed 12.3  points per game  this season, so Scottsboro's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Brewer, they will welcome Boaz  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. The Pirates will roll in looking for their  fourth straight  win, something the Patriots surely won't give up without a fight.
