Softball Recap: Mt. Gilead Indians vs. Plymouth Big Red
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Centerburg, Mt. Gilead was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They came out on top against the Plymouth Big Red by a score of 6-3.
Mt. Gilead got a big performance out of Lillian Ward, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Kierra Main, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.
Mt. Gilead's victory bumped their record up to 6-14. As for Plymouth, their loss was their seventh straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-16.
Mt. Gilead will be staying on the road on Monday to face off against Crestline at 5:00 p.m. As for Plymouth, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Western Reserve at 5:00 p.m. Plymouth is facing Western Reserve at the right time seeing as Western Reserve is stuck on a 12-game losing streak.
