Softball Recap: Orange Lutheran Wins Going Away Against Downey

Orange Lutheran picked up another tournament win on Saturday. They blew past the Downey Vikings 11-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Lancers.

Kai Minor was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. Another player making a difference was Madelyn Armendariz, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Orange Lutheran kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in four consecutive matchups.

Orange Lutheran's victory bumped their record up to 17-3. As for Downey, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-6.

Orange Lutheran wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 7-0 win against Mater Dei on the 15th. As for Downey, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 7-5 loss against Santa Fe on the 19th.
