Baseball Recap: Aquinas Institute Extends Home Winning Streak to Five

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Mendon, Aquinas Institute was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They blew past the Wayne Pioneers 12-4. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Little Irish considering their one-run performance the match before.

Aquinas Institute pushed their record up to 1-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Wayne, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Aquinas Institute will square off against North Lincoln at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday. As for Wayne, they will take on Brockport at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday.
