Volleyball Game Preview: North Oldham Mustangs vs. Providence Pioneers

North Oldham is 0-7 against Providence since October of 2015 but things could change on Thursday. The Mustangs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Pioneers at 7:30 p.m.

North Oldham is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Kentucky's top teams: Beechwood, who was ranked fifth at the time (North Oldham was ranked 11th). The Mustangs fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Providence had already won four in a row and they went ahead and made it five on Wednesday. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Valkyries. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Pioneers have posted since August 25th.

Providence wouldn't go down easily and took Sacred Heart into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 27-25, 26-13, 22-25, 16-14.

North Oldham's defeat dropped their record down to 14-11. As for Providence, their victory bumped their record up to 17-12.
