Football Preview: Lake Braddock Bruins vs. Fairfax Lions        
        
		
             Lake Braddock is 7-2 against Fairfax since October of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success  on Friday. The Lake Braddock Bruins will host the Fairfax Lions  at 7:00  p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one:  both  posted some lofty  point totals in their previous games.
 Lake Braddock took a loss when they played away from home  two weeks ago, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed  on Friday. Everything went their way against West Potomac as Lake Braddock made off with  a  49-28 win. The Bruins pushed the score to  42-14 by the end of the third, a deficit the Wolverines cut but never quite recovered from.
  Tyrone Jackson was  his usual excellent self, throwing for 441 yards and five touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes.  Kai Austin was  Jackson's top target, picking up 192 receiving yards and a touchdown.
 Lake Braddock wouldn't let West Potomac keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force two fumbles. Lake Braddock can thank  Jordan Sharpe and  Trent Pane for forcing both of them. Pane is also on a roll when it comes to  total tackles, as he's  now  made five or more in the last 12 games he's  played dating back to last season.
 Meanwhile,  winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better  (just ask Fairfax). They strolled past South County with  points to spare on Friday, taking the game  38-21. The score was all tied up  14-14 at the break, but the Lions were the (much) better team in the second half.
 The  victory  got Lake Braddock back to even at 2-2. As for Fairfax,  the  win made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 3-1.
 Lake Braddock strolled past Fairfax in their previous matchup  back in November of 2023 by a score of  39-20. Does  Lake Braddock have another victory up their sleeve, or will Fairfax turn the tables on them?  We'll have the answer soon enough.
