Baseball Recap: Heights Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Heights can now relate to. They fell just short of the Memorial Mustangs by a score of 1-0 on Wednesday. If the Bulldogs were looking for revenge after losing 4-0 to the Mustangs when the teams met back in February of 2019, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Adam Torres was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he tossed 6.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. That's the fewest hits he has allowed since back in March.

Heights' loss dropped their record down to 15-12. As for Memorial, they pushed their record up to 26-3-1 with the victory, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Heights has already played their next game (against Cedar Hill), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Memorial will be paying especially close attention to the Bulldogs' contest: after the Bulldogs face off against the Longhorns, they'll take on Memorial again at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
