Football Recap: Pueblo West Takes Down Northfield in a Playoff Battle + How To Watch

With a playoff win on the line, Pueblo West rose to the challenge on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 16-14 victory over the Northfield Nighthawks.

The critical scores for Pueblo West came from Chance Chamberlain and Zach Duran.

Pueblo West was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 260 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Northfield only rushed for 155.

Several Nighthawks players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Cash Lacy, who rushed for 34 yards, and also threw for 82 yards and one TD.

Pueblo West has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 9.0 points on average over those games. As for Northfield, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-3.

Pueblo West didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 42-14 loss against Dakota Ridge on the 21st. Northfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
