Stratford Academy waltzed into their match on Tuesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Mary Persons Bulldogs. This was a revenge game for the Eagles: when they faced off against the Bulldogs two weeks ago, they had to take a 2-0 defeat.

Stratford Academy had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The match finished with set scores of 20-25, 25-19, 15-9.

Stratford Academy's victory bumped their record up to 6-8. As for Mary Persons, they suffered their first home loss, dropping their record down to 8-4.

Coming up, Stratford Academy will take on Creekside Christian Academy in a tournament on Friday. As for Mary Persons, they will be playing at home against Academy for Classical Education at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
