Soccer Game Preview: DeSoto vs. Duncanville

DeSoto hasn't had much luck against Duncanville recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The DeSoto Eagles will take on the Duncanville Panthers and Pantherettes at 4:30 p.m.

DeSoto fell victim to Waxahachie and their airtight defense on Monday. They lost 8-0 to the Indians. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 608th, while the Indians are ranked 283rd).

Meanwhile, Duncanville entered their tilt with Skyline on Tuesday with ten consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with 11. They never let the Raiders onto the board and left with an 8-0 victory. Considering the Panthers and Pantherettes have won ten games by more than two goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Duncanville pushed their record up to 12-2 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 41 goals over those seven contests. As for DeSoto, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7.

DeSoto might still be hurting after the 8-0 loss they got from Duncanville in their previous meeting back in January. Can DeSoto avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
