Basketball Game Preview: Colebrook Academy Mohawks vs. Epping Blue Devils

The Colebrook Academy Mohawks will square off against the Epping Blue Devils at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Colebrook Academy has five straight wins, Epping has eight straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

While Colebrook Academy didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-11), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They took their contest on Monday with ease, bagging a 61-9 victory over Lisbon. The Mohawks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matchups by 22 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Epping had to suffer through a 53-9 loss at the hands of Newmarket. While losing is never fun, the Blue Devils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Hampshire basketball rankings (they are ranked 83rd, while the Mules are ranked tenth).

Colebrook Academy's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-1. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.8 points per game. As for Epping, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-7.

Everything came up roses for Colebrook Academy against Epping in their previous meeting back in February of 2015, as the squad secured an 88-32 victory. Does Colebrook Academy have another victory up their sleeve, or will Epping turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
