Softball Recap: Gilmour Academy Lancers vs. Midview Middies
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Gilmour Academy walked away with it. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Midview Middies on Tuesday, sneaking past 6-4. Winning may never get old, but the Lancers sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.
Camden Dreiling spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on ten hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Ella Jackson, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Aiden Pike, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.
