Softball Recap: Pemberton Takes a Loss

Pemberton came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Doane Academy, falling 17-6. The Hornets haven't had much luck with Doane Academy recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Pemberton's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Doane Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pemberton will welcome Trenton Central at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Doane Academy, they will host Maple Shade at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Doane Academy's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wildcats have averaged an impressive 9.6 runs per game this season.
