Basketball Game Preview: Eastland Christian Hurricanes vs. Heritage Prep Praetorians

Eastland Christian hasn't had much luck against Heritage Prep recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Eastland Christian Hurricanes are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game this season. they will square off against the Heritage Prep Praetorians at 6:00 p.m.

Eastland Christian is leaving town to face Heritage Prep after disappointing their home crowd in their season opener. Eastland Christian lost 33-9 to Heritage Prep last Friday. The Hurricanes' loss continues a trend for the team, making it five in a row dating back to last season.

Eastland Christian better keep an eye on Grace Isnord. She was instrumental in Heritage Prep's win, dropping a triple-double on 18 points, ten boards, and 12 steals. Isnord is becoming a predictor of Heritage Prep's success: when she posts at least eight boards the team is 4-1 (and 1-2 when she doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Carlynn John, who posted two points and three steals.

Heritage Prep was working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in December of 2023.

Eastland Christian suffered a grim 33-9 defeat to Heritage Prep in their previous meeting last Friday. That match was all but decided by halftime, at which point Eastland Christian was down 21-0.
