If Cusick was feeling good fresh off their 73-32 takedown of Columbia last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Cusick Panthers took a 61-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Oakesdale Nighthawks on Monday. The Panthers' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Cusick's defeat dropped their record down to 9-3. As for Oakesdale, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cusick won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Northport at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Northport knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 12 contests -- so hopefully Cusick likes a good challenge. As for Oakesdale, they will venture away from home to square off against Dayton at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday.
