Basketball Game Preview: Cadillac Vikings vs. Petoskey Northmen

The Cadillac Vikings will head out on the road to face off against the Petoskey Northmen at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Cadillac took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Saturday. Everything went their way against Alpena as Cadillac made off with a 51-30 victory. Given the Vikings' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 11th, while the Wildcats are ranked 203rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Petoskey put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 62-54 win over Dow.

Cadillac's victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-1. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.3 points per game. As for Petoskey, their win bumped their record up to 4-0.

Everything went Cadillac's way against Petoskey in their previous meeting back in February, as Cadillac made off with a 60-37 victory. Will Cadillac repeat their success, or does Petoskey have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
