Basketball Recap: Swanville Has No Trouble Against Sebeka

Swanville lost to Sebeka back in December of 2017, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Monday. The Swanville Bulldogs enjoyed a cozy 79-63 victory over the Sebeka Trojans. The Bulldogs' offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.

Despite the loss, Sebeka saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Max Lake went 8-for-18 on his way to 26 points in addition to seven assists and five steals. Lake's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Parker Kiser, who posted ten points and seven rebounds.

Swanville now has a winning record of 12-11. As for Sebeka, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 7-15 record this season.

Swanville has already played their next contest (against Osakis), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Sebeka, they will take on Browerville at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
