Volleyball Recap: Geibel Catholic Gators vs. Calvary Chapel Christian Lions
Geibel Catholic hasn't had much luck at home recently (they'd lost six straight ) but thanks in part to Sarah Shumar that streak is no more. The Gators blew past the Calvary Chapel Christian Lions 3-0 on Tuesday with plenty of help from Shumar, who had 13 digs and four aces. She is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served three or more in each of the last three games she's played.
While Geibel Catholic won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-23, 25-20.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Geibel Catholic to victory, but perhaps none more so than Mallory Clemmer, who hit 100% for 12 kills and 19 digs and five aces. Those 19 digs gave Clemmer a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Nolace Petrosky, who hit 100% for seven kills and 12 digs and two aces.
Geibel Catholic's win bumped their record up to 4-14. As for Calvary Chapel Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.
