Basketball Recap: Baker Comes Up Short

Baker was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They fell 69-56 to the Bryant Hurricanes. The Hornets lost against the Hurricanes in their previous head to head back in January of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 81-42 score last time.

Mari-Margret Grayson was her usual excellent self, going 8 of 19 on her way to 22 points in addition to six rebounds and four steals for Bryant. Grayson's evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Madi-Marie Grayson, who posted 26 points along with seven rebounds and five steals.

Baker's defeat dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Bryant, their victory bumped their record up to 11-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Baker will take on Mary G. Montgomery at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Bryant, they will face off against Davidson at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
