Basketball Recap: Eastern Guilford Takes a Loss

Eastern Guilford lost against Atkins back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Eastern Guilford Wildcats took a 52-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Atkins Camels. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Eastern Guilford's loss dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Atkins, their victory ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-11.

Eastern Guilford and Atkins could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings. Eastern Guilford will take on Dudley at 8:00 p.m. on Friday down 397 places (503 vs. 106). Meanwhile, Atkins (ranked 590th) will meet High Point Central (ranked 85th) at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday.
