Franklin County had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.3 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Thursday. They enjoyed a cozy 42-25 win over the Marshall County Tigers. Given the Rebels' advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 74th, while the Tigers are ranked 209th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Franklin County's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-12. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.7 points over those games. As for Marshall County, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 10-13 record this season.
