Preview: Reagan Rattlers vs. Marshall Rams
Reagan is 3-0 against Marshall since December of 2022, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Reagan Rattlers will be playing at home against the Marshall Rams at 5:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Reagan suffered their biggest loss since December 8, 2023 on Tuesday. They suffered a tough 48-27 defeat at the hands of Clark. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Reagan has scored all season.
Despite their loss, Reagan saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Renata Parga, who scored nine points along with six rebounds, was perhaps the best of all. The team also got some help courtesy of Sahara Green, who scored six points.
Meanwhile, Marshall had to suffer through a rough 58-29 loss at the hands of Brandeis. While losing is never fun, Marshall can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 354th, while Brandeis is ranked 33rd).
Reagan has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 17-14 record this season. As for Marshall, they bumped their record down to 17-14 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road.
Reagan was able to grind out a solid win over Marshall in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, winning 47-39. Does Reagan have another victory up their sleeve, or will Marshall turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
