Volleyball Game Preview: Millikan Rams vs. Compton Tarbabes

Millikan has gone a perfect 9-0 against Compton recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Rams will welcome the Tarbabes at 5:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Millikan has 12 straight wins, Compton has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

On Tuesday, Millikan got the win against Long Beach Poly by a conclusive 3-0.

Millikan got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the third set. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-23, 30-28.

Millikan's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Noble Pagulayan, who had 22 assists, and Alex Orbiso, who had 19 assists and three digs. Those 22 assists gave Pagulayan a new career-high.

Meanwhile, Compton lost 3-0 to Compton Early College on Wednesday.

The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-20, 25-14.

Compton's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Millikan, their victory bumped their record up to 19-1.

Everything went Millikan's way against Compton in their previous matchup on March 3rd, as Millikan made off with a 3-0 win. Will the Rams repeat their success, or do the Tarbabes have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
