Softball Game Preview: Sherando Warriors vs. Millbrook Pioneers

Sherando and Millbrook are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2022, but likely not for long. The Warriors will be playing at home against the Pioneers on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Sherando 3.4, Millbrook 4) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Sherando is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Millbrook just ended the team's ten-game winning streak two weeks ago. They fell just short of the Pioneers by a score of 7-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Warriors have suffered since March 22nd.

She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kayla Grum, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

The win made it two in a row for Millbrook and bumps their season record up to 10-13. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 5 runs in those games. As for Sherando, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-5.
