Soccer Recap: Irmo Takes a Loss

Irmo lost against Blythewood back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Irmo Yellow Jackets came up short against the Blythewood Bengals, falling 4-1. The contest was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but the Yellow Jackets couldn't quite close it out.

Irmo now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Blythewood, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-2.

Coming up, Irmo will venture away from home to face off against Lexington at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be Irmo's first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Blythewood, they will welcome Spring Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Blythewood is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.4 goals per game this season.
