Football Recap: Waco Lions vs. Rudder Rangers
Waco was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They lost 45-19 to the Rudder Rangers. The Lions were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Rangers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2017.
Although Waco took the loss, they still got scores from RJ Young, Bryant Whitaker, and Mason Smith.
Javyn Jessie continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Rudder, throwing for 136 yards and three touchdowns while completing 73.3% of his passes, and also punching in a touchdown on the ground. Jessie is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in the last three games he's played.
Waco's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Rudder, they moved to 7-3 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.
