Midlothian had already won 12 in a row and they went ahead and made it 13 on Tuesday. They blew past the Red Oak Hawks 3-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.
Midlothian never let Red Oak on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-23, 25-17.
Leading Midlothian to victory were Layla Jordan and Kyleigh Shaw. Jordan had three digs and three aces, while Shaw had 26 assists and five digs. That's the most aces Jordan has posted since back in September.
Despite the loss, Red Oak saw an underclassman step up: freshman Maleah Ellis had ten assists and eight digs.
Midlothian's record now sits at 25-13. As for Red Oak, their defeat ended an eight-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 29-11.
