Barker came tearing into Thursday's contest with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.8 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Gowanda Panthers.

Mady Flint spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on three hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Alina Riches and Peyton Bradley did most of the damage at the plate: Riches got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, while Bradley went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

Barker's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-4. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 3.8 runs across that stretch. As for Gowanda, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-8.

As of now, neither Barker nor the Panthers have any future games scheduled.
