Preview: Bagdad Sultans vs. Phoenix Day School for the Deaf Roadrunners

Bagdad has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will square off against the Phoenix Day School for the Deaf Roadrunners at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Wednesday, Bagdad ended up a good deal behind Wickenburg and lost 45-27. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Bagdad in their matchups with Wickenburg: they've now lost five in a row.

Meanwhile, Phoenix Day School for the Deaf's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They fell 15-7 to Arizona School for the Deaf & Blind.

Alyssa Clark Dequier was Phoenix Day School for the Deaf's leading scorer, having posted four points. Clark Dequier held things down on the boards with seven rebounds.

Bagdad's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Phoenix Day School for the Deaf, their defeat was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 2-7.

Everything came up roses for Bagdad against Phoenix Day School for the Deaf in their previous matchup back in December of 2022 as the squad secured a 48-19 win. With Bagdad ahead 29-6 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
