Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Millbrook walked away with it. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-5 victory over the James Wood Colonels on Wednesday. The win was nothing new for the Pioneers as they're now sitting on four straight.

Millbrook's victory bumped their record up to 12-13. As for James Wood, they moved to 18-7 with that defeat, which also ended their seven-game winning streak.

Coming up, Millbrook will head out to challenge Jefferson Forest at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Pioneers 3.9, the Cavaliers 1.2) so any runs scored will be well earned. James Wood does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
