Basketball Recap: Gulf Finds Home Court Redemption Against River Ridge

There's no place like home for Gulf, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They had just enough and edged the River Ridge Royal Knights out 63-60. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 75-65 back in December of 2024.

Despite the loss, River Ridge still got an impressive performance from Jacob Yeager, who went 6 for 15 en route to 18 points. Another player making a difference was Dareal King, who posted eight points and 14 rebounds.

Gulf moved to 14-7 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for River Ridge, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-14.

Gulf didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 78-62 loss against Wiregrass Ranch on the 29th. As for River Ridge, they will square off against Cypress Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. River Ridge is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 72.4 points per game this season.
