It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Concord can now relate to. They had to suffer through a 48-8 loss at the hands of the Middletown Mustangs. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Bears have suffered since November 8, 2024.

Juan Gonzalez threw for 159 yards and one touchdown. Max Dashner was his top target, picking up 66 receiving yards.

Middletown found their leader in sophomore Tyler Galamay, who rushed for 128 yards and a pair of TDs. Those 128 rushing yards set a new season-high mark for Galamay. John Finney also deserves some recognition as he punched in his first rushing touchdown of the season.

Concord's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-5. As for Middletown, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-2.

Concord does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Middletown, they have already played their next game, a 37-23 victory against Piedmont on the 28th.
