Basketball Game Preview: Lexington Minutemen vs. Gering Bulldogs

Having just played yesterday, the Lexington Minutemen will head out on the road to face off against the Gering Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Lexington is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.

On Friday, Lexington had to suffer through a 74-33 loss at the hands of Holdrege. While losing is never fun, the Minutemen can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 246th, while the Dusters are ranked 17th).

Meanwhile, Gering didn't have quite enough to beat Douglas two weeks ago and fell 67-65. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lexington's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Gering, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.

Lexington came up short against Gering in their previous matchup back in February of 2018, falling 63-57. Can Lexington avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
