Basketball Recap: Fair Play Takes a Loss

On Friday, the Fair Play Hornets came up short against the Golden City Eagles and fell 66-58. The Hornets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

It was another big night for Spencer Parrill, who went 7 for 15 on his way to 24 points in addition to eight boards and five assists for Golden City. That makes it four consecutive games in which Parrill has scored at least a third of Golden City's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamison Menadue, who posted 16 points and four steals.

Fair Play's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Golden City, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-4.

Fair Play will venture away from home to take on Halfway at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Golden City, they will welcome Dadeville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
