After a string of 11 wins, Paul W. Bryant's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They took a 70-63 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hale County Wildcats. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Thursday (62), the Stampede still had to take the loss.

Paul W. Bryant's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-6. As for Hale County, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season.

Paul W. Bryant and Hale County should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Alabama Rankings. Paul W. Bryant (ranked 35th) will meet Brookwood (ranked 248th) at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Hale County will take on Greensboro at 7:30 p.m. on Friday up 190 places (79 vs. 269).
