Soccer Recap: Albemarle School's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

If Albemarle School was riding high fresh off their 10-0 takedown of Kerr-Vance Academy on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Colts fell just short of the Northeast Academy For Aerospace and Advanced Tech Griffins by a score of 3-2 on Friday. The loss put an end to Albemarle School's undefeated start to the season.

Javonte Borg wasn't going to let Northeast Academy For Aerospace and Advanced Tech walk away unscathed as he scored both of Albemarle School's goals, bringing his season total up to six goals.

Having lost for the first time this season, Albemarle School fell to 2-1. As for Northeast Academy For Aerospace and Advanced Tech, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Albemarle School will take on Holmes at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Northeast Academy For Aerospace and Advanced Tech, they will square off against Perquimans at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
