Baseball Game Preview: Buford Yellow Jackets vs. Central Eagles

For the second straight game, Buford will face off against Central. The Yellow Jackets will square off against the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Buford is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.

Central hit Buford with a four-run first inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Yellow Jackets lost 7-1 to the Eagles.

For Central's part, Cody Branham made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Branham has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two hits in five consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. He has become a key player for Central: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least one home run, but 5-11 otherwise.
