Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Dakota). They blew past the Lutheran Crusaders 58-36 on Friday. With the Indians ahead 36-14 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

Brian Frank had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 259 yards and four scores while picking up 7.2 yards per carry.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Dakota was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 259 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since the start of last season.

When it comes to explaining why Lutheran lost, don't look at Richard Anderson. Despite the final result, he rushed for 137 yards and a pair of TDs while picking up 8.6 yards per carry, and also threw for 126 yards and two touchdowns.

Dakota's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Lutheran, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Coming up, Dakota will venture away from home to challenge Fulton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Indians will be up against the Steamers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 43.8 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Lutheran, they will welcome Genoa-Kingston at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Crusaders will be up against the Cogs' rather soft defense (which has allowed 27 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
