Volleyball Recap: Mountain Grove Takes a Loss

Mountain Grove lost against Clever back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Panthers fell 3-1 to the Blue Jays. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The final score came out to 25-14, 25-21, 20-25, 25-12.

Clever's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Izi Hunter led the charge by getting ten digs and three assists. Those three assists gave Hunter a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Allie Dunn, who had 11 digs.

Mountain Grove's record now sits at 7-14-1. As for Clever, their victory bumped their record up to 16-12-3.

Mountain Grove wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-2 defeat against Willow Springs on the 14th. As for Clever, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Strafford on the 14th.
