While DeLaSalle's win against Fridley wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Islanders skirted past the Tigers 4-2. The victory continues a trend for the Islanders in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won five in a row.

Owen Svien spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on two hits and racked up nine Ks.

On the hitting side, Rourick Gulbrandson was incredible, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one stolen base.

The win got DeLaSalle back to even at 1-1. As for Fridley, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. DeLaSalle will take on Delano at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Fridley, they will challenge Academy of Holy Angels at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
